The Sonic Topographies project imagines a landscape created only by sound, where large flat-panels excited by an array of pure tones bring spaces to life acoustically. Using principles of acoustic holography, a complex blend of tones, beating sensations, and directional shifts can be experienced with a simple turn of the head. Explore the space and compose your own sonic journey, or find a comfortable spot and enjoy the waterfall of sound. A collaboration between David A. Anderson and Prof. Teri Rueb (Professor and Chair, Critical Media Practices, University of Colorado).
